How the Christmas Murder Mystery Works

1. Guests arrive

Characters mingle during the reception and the first suspicions begin.

2. The crime unfolds

Scenes reveal motives, secrets, red herrings—and a murder that must be solved.

3. Teams investigate

Guests question the suspects, study the evidence and build their theory.

4. The killer is revealed

Teams submit their answers before the dramatic solution and prize-giving.

Typical duration: around three hours with a three-course dinner. Shorter formats from approximately 90 minutes can work with a buffet, afternoon tea, drinks reception, conference or awards evening.

How much does a corporate Christmas murder mystery cost?

Performance-only packages start at £499 including VAT for 6–20 guests. Silver is £799 for up to 30 guests, Gold is £1,099 for up to 60 and Platinum is £1,499 for up to 100. Travel, actor accommodation where necessary, venue hire, food and drink are additional. Larger events receive a bespoke quote.

Do employees have to act or speak in front of everyone?

No. Gold and Platinum are led by professional actors while guests investigate in teams. Bronze and Silver include guest suspect roles, but participants receive simple guidance and do not memorise scripts. Tell us about your group and we will recommend the least awkward format.

Can you perform at our office or chosen hotel?

Yes. We can perform in offices, hotels, restaurants, private dining rooms and other suitable function spaces across the UK. A private room where the actors can address the whole group is normally sufficient.

Can you help if we do not have a venue?

Yes. Tell us the town or city, preferred date, guest numbers, accommodation needs and approximate budget. We can discuss suitable options using our network of hotel venues and event partners.

Is the event suitable for introverts as well as extroverts?

Yes. Some guests enjoy questioning suspects; others prefer studying clues or contributing quietly within their team. Nobody has to take centre stage, and there are meaningful ways for different personalities to participate.

Can the mystery run around a Christmas dinner?

Yes. The standard event runs for approximately three hours around a three-course meal. We can also adapt selected plots for a buffet, afternoon tea, drinks reception, conference, awards dinner or shorter party schedule.

How far ahead should we book?

Book as soon as your date is fixed. Fridays and Saturdays in late November and December are the first to fill, and cast availability becomes more limited as Christmas approaches. Late bookings may still be possible.

Can you accommodate more than 100 people?

Yes. Larger corporate events are quoted individually with additional actors and event support. Our adaptable format has previously entertained groups of up to 450 guests.

Are food, drink and venue hire included?

Not in the Just Add Murder prices shown above. Those prices cover the performance and event materials. If you need a complete venue, catering and entertainment package, include that requirement in your enquiry.

Can the event be personalised for our company?

We can discuss company references, awards, important guests and suitable personal touches during planning. Any bespoke writing or major plot customisation will be quoted separately.
