The 2026/27 Public Events Murder Mystery Season:

We have over twenty plots in our repertoire that we perform throughout the year; you can choose any for a private event, from Sneaky Blunders to Hollywood Homicide, see all our murder mystery plots here.

We encourage you to come dressed in the theme of the event, and offer prizes to the best dressed! For murder mystery fancy dress tips, click here.

Each year we run a selection of these plots at our shared parties in UK venues, and 2026/2027 is no different. Drawing on our unique traditional murder mystery style with a comic twist, all performed by professional actors. Here’s the lineup for this season:

January 2026 to May 2026:

Professor Bugle’s Last Post featuring Sherlock Holmes

Theme: 1920’s Sherlock Holmes

Professor Bugel has invited you to a party to celebrate his being awarded the “Golden Test Tube” for services to Pharmacology. However, things take a turn for the worse at the party, and soon, a murder is committed! It’s up to you and a special guest to unravel the crime!

June 2026 to September 2026:

Better by Nun

Theme: Medieval England Monks & Nuns

You join the Monks and Nuns at the Village of Pratt’s Bottom to perform an exorcism at a local Haunted Hotel. But there’s a sense of tension in the air- not all the rules are being followed, and Mother Superior may have been at the communion wine! Things take a turn for the worse after a bitter argument, and soon a murderer is on the loose! It’s up to you to investigate the crime…

October 2026 to December 2026:

Murder at the Moulin Rouge

Theme: 1901 Moulin Rouge & Cult Movie

Murder at the Moulin Rouge combines all the flavours of the famous French club with the atmosphere of the iconic film and our original comic murder mystery style. Set in 1901’s Moulin Rouge in gay Paris. You are invited to the premiere of the new Moulin Rouge show “Spectacular Extravaganza!” but things are going awry, and manager Willy de Bom-Bom is trying to avert disaster. The show’s writer is a brawling drunk, one of the dancers was recently killed, and there’s a homicidal maniac on the loose! Will Willy’s opening succeed? Will the cast survive the night? Discover the answer and uncover the murderer at the Moulin Rouge!

January 2027 to March 2027:

Mystery of the Golden Scarab

Theme: 1920’s Archeologists

Archaeologist Mortimer Wheelie is famous in his field for making great discoveries of Roman Villas and Egyptian Tombs, and a friendly rivalry exists between him and Lord Farquar, a fellow archaeologist. But when it is revealed that the Golden Scarab artefact has mysteriously
disappeared from the British Museum, things get nasty and before long, a murderer strikes- but whodunit?
