They've been really friendly, and respectful and appreciative of what I've brought to the mix. They've built good relationships with venues, and they have a returning customer base too, so there's a really fun atmosphere to every gig. The plots are suitably labyrinthine, and there's plenty of humour. On the management side, the communication is good, and there are open channels to the senior team to give feedback after each job. They never quibble about pay or delay paying - which as a freelance actor is really important.
The players were very amusing and helped the evening along but the hotel staff were also really welcoming and helpful.
The communication with the event organisers was first rate and I can't wait to book again.

Join in with one of our scheduled events, book a private role-playing party where each of your guests plays a character, or even go all out and book an overnight stay in one of our host hotels.

If you’re looking for a night full of fun and mystery about you and your hens, a private murder mystery hen party is just what you’re looking for. Our exclusive ‘Happy Hen’ role-playing murder mystery party has been created for hen parties looking for a night of laughs they’ll never forget.
Murder Mystery Plot: The Happy Hen
Theme: 1920’s Gangsterland!
Join Henny Heartbeat on her hen night with her celebrity friends Amy Wino, Paris Milton, Tina Turncoat (and many more) for this role-play murder mystery where you are all suspects in a murder case!
This story is set in 1920s Chicago and is ideal for private hen party groups as everyone in your party plays a part; we can even personalise the event to include your gossip about the hens! You and your guests will be given your characters, along with some tips on fancy dress costumes, before the event, with clue packs and further information handed out during the event by your very own Private Investigator (played by one of our actors).
The PI will interrogate some of the suspects during the event, and you’ll get the chance to question other guests, so try to keep your wits about you! There’s a prize of a bottle of bubbly for the super sleuth who discovers whodunnit!
As the night unfolds…
It’s your night, so you can decide when to begin, but we recommend starting with a drink reception at around 7 pm. A murder mystery hen night lasts around three hours, giving you plenty of time to continue partying well into the night…
7:00 pm Drinks reception:
Meet at reception for pre-dinner drinks, where you’ll receive your clue-packs and further character details. You will get to know who’s who – keep your wits about you so you don’t miss a clue!
7:45 pm Dinner is served:
Each course is served, and the comic plot unfolds. Your Private Investigator will guide you through, unveiling the story and its twists and turns. You might be questioned by the detective or reveal an important clue when asked by a fellow guest during the main course! Word games and Quizzes are introduced during the evening, which may reveal important clues as to whodunnit.
9:15 pm You solve the crime:
Before the dessert, it’s your chance to be a super sleuth and solve the crime. Hand in your solution sheet for the final judging, and discover the culprit.
9:45 pm Prizes awarded:
The star prize of one bottle of bubbly is awarded to the winning detective and a booby prize to the hen who came up with the most absurd solution. But there’s still a chance to win with our limerick competition, free prize draw and best fancy dress!
10 pm End of murder mystery event.

Bronze package – This package offers one actor as a ‘Private Investigator’ to facilitate the plot. Pricing is for a minimum of 14 guests (although the plot can work with less, you will still be charged for 14) and a maximum of 20 guests. £75.50pp.
Silver package – This package includes two actors to facilitate the plot. Suitable for parties of x and above. £12pp extra.
Gold package – This package offers maximum theatrical interactive entertainment with three actors. Guests do not role-play suspects but instead focus on identifying who committed the crime. £24pp extra.

We know that you won’t want your hen night to end once the murder mystery has been solved, so we work closely with all of our venues to provide you with a variety of additional options. Speak to us about adding a disco or casino to your event or even requesting complimentary club entry as part of your package.
You can also turn your hen night into a murder mystery hen weekend by adding an overnight stay with breakfast to your package. We also liaise with various hotels that offer spa facilities so you can enjoy a little bit of luxury after a challenging evening’s sleuthing.

Shared murder mystery hen parties
Indulge in a night of secrecy and thrills by getting your group of hens to play detective at a shared murder mystery event. Join like-minded guests to solve the murder mystery over a three-course meal, drinks and disco.
All murder mystery party events require audience participation – perfect for a raucous group of hens. Choose from a role-play event, where all guests don their disguises and interrogate each other to uncover the murderer, or a dinner theatre event, where scenes are played out by actors between courses, and the actors mingle with the audience to drop clues and question.
Murder mystery plots range from the glamorous 1920s-themed Gangsterland to a 007-themed spy thriller, Murder at Downfall Abbey, to super sleuth Hercule Poirot, so you’re sure to find a shared murder mystery hen party that will suit you.
